I'll admit it, I wasn't technically tagged to do this post but why not? After a lovely lunch out with my flatmates to exchange presents before we go home for Christmas, I'm feeling particularly festive today and very excited for today's Blogmas post!
1. What is your favorite Christmas Movie/s?
Oh what an evil question, as if I could pick one! The Grinch was always a childhood favourite and I love The Nativity too.
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas day of course! I always assumed that's what everyone did.
3. Do you have a favorite Christmas memory?
This isn't really a memory of a particular year but I have fond memories of waking up to feel the weight of my presents at the end of my bed and the excitement of, in that waking moment, realising that Father Christmas had visited.
4. Favourite festive food?
Mince Pies of course!
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
That would definitely have to be the candyfloss maker I got when I was 6. It took a million years to make the tiniest amount of candyfloss but I loved it nonetheless.
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel! I look forward to it every year <3
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
I'm not sure that I have any traditions which are specific to my family but in recent years I've had Pain Au Chocolats for breakfast on Christmas day (and on birthdays too).
8. What tops your tree?
This may make me sound like a bit of a granny but it's an angel I crocheted myself, using a very small crochet hook so that it would look lacy. To attain the rigid shape, I covered it in PVA glue and placed it over a funnel to keep its shape as it dried.
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
Not extravagant but it was certainly unrealistic - I always begged for a kitten. I'd still very much like one actually!
10. What’s the best part about Christmas for you?
Perhaps not the most apt description but I love the sensory experiences which trigger nostalgic and sentimental feelings - the Christmas songs, the smell of tinsel and all that other lovely stuff.
