This necklace was provided for review by the lovely Gemma (a fellow blogger!) who sells handmade necklaces via her etsy store, Pearl Divine. It's simplistic design features a clear quartz stick with a 24 inch silver plated chain.
At £8, it is fairly bargainous and costs a similar amount to something you might find on the highstreet, but is so much more unique, having been hand-made rather than mass produced. No two necklaces from Pearl Divine will be the same, with each stone varying slightly in shape and size.
The design of this necklace is quite simplisitic, with the crystal being the main feature and as such it is very wearable. It can be worn with the majority of outfits but I have found it to look particulary striking against darker outfits and have taken to wearing it with my favourite black skater dress.
I adore semi-precious stones and have a whole windowsill of them but, as a lover of more delicate jewellery, I have often necklaces featuring them to be far too chunky for my liking. However, this is a necklace which I feel very comfortable wearing and is perfect for crystal lovers who aren't keen on larger statement jewellery.
Perhaps my favourite aspect of this pendant is the cut of the quartz. Personally, I'm not a fan of perfectly cut and polished stones, preferring them to be left with their imperfections so that they still resemble the little pieces of nature that they are. This also gives the necklace a much more bohemian, indie feel.
With the approach of Christmas, this necklace (and the other pieces from Pearl Divine) would make the perfect stocking filler. Pearl Divine has a range of lovely necklaces made with semi-precious stones/crystals, such as this gorgeous rainbow quartz pendant which I am now lusting after!
